About the event
Join us for an engaging and insightful evening hosted by Women in Solar Energy Ireland – WISE(IR) – where we will bring together industry leaders, experts, and professionals for our Industry Updates and Networking Training event. This session, hosted by McCann FitzGerald, is designed to provide attendees with the latest insights into the solar energy sector, offering a unique opportunity to hear from seasoned professionals who will share their experiences, challenges, and perspectives on what lies ahead for the industry. This will be followed by a training session on networking, providing people with tips to enjoy and get the most out of their networking opportunities.
Agenda
- 5:30 PM - Registration: Arrive early to check in, grab a refreshment, and connect with fellow attendees.
- 6:00 PM - Industry Updates: Hear from our speakers as they provide a brief of the industry from their unique perspectives, including key trends, and future opportunities in the solar energy sector. This session will be moderated by Sinead Martyn, partner in McCann FitzGerald’s Environmental and Planning Group
- 6:30 PM - Building your network - refresh your approach for autumn: Led by Fiona McKeever, this session will provide:
- Insights into the broader benefits of building your network early in your career
- Practical tips to prepare more purposefully for networking events
- Coaching questions to help you and your team overcome personal barriers to networking
- 7:15 PM - Networking: Stay for an informal networking session where you can connect with fellow attendees, speakers, and industry professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to build relationships and discuss key takeaways from the event.
Featured Speakers:
- Sinéad Martyn (moderator), partner in McCann FitzGerald’s Environmental and Planning Group. She advises developers, public authorities and others on a range of environmental and planning matters, including project development and defence of judicial review proceedings. Sinéad is the Chairperson of the Irish Environmental Law Association, and she lectures and provides workshops on EIA and Habitats issues regularly, including to both the Law Society and Trinity College Dublin.
- Niamh Igoe, Planning and Environmental Manager at GP JOULE Ireland since 2022. She is a dedicated and enthusiastic planner, holding a Master’s degree in Planning and Development from Queen's University Belfast. Niamh is a member of the Irish Planning Institute (IPI) and holds licentiate membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Additionally, she possesses an Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law from King's Inns. Niamh is highly skilled in renewable energy planning and has contributed to numerous renewable energy projects throughout Ireland.
- Fiona McKeever, an independent Executive, Leadership and Team Coach, coaching CEOs, CFOs, MDs, Partners, and SVPs in legal and consulting services, property services, management consultancy, secondary and third level education, and financial services. She has coached leaders preparing for promotions, supported managers and leaders to take on new client responsibilities and to develop teams. Â Fiona believes in the power of networks and encourages all her clients to invest time in building and contributing to their networks.
