The Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA) is proud to support the launch of the Solar Panel Installer Programme, a collaboration between Generation Ireland, GreenTech Skillnet, and Chevron College. This initiative is a significant step forward in addressing the skills gap in Ireland’s growing solar sector.
Starting this December, the programme will train 20 individuals to become job-ready solar panel installers, equipped with technical certifications, hands-on experience, and behavioural skills that ensure they can contribute from day one.

Participants will graduate with:
QQI Level 6 minor award in Micro Solar PV Systems Implementation
Working at Heights, SafePass, and Manual Handling certifications
Practical knowledge in design diagrams, tool handling, and safety compliance
Employers will benefit from:
A pool of skilled, motivated graduates available for hire from February 2025
