The Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA) is excited to host a special Women in Solar Energy Ireland - WISE(IR) - webinar focusing on a half-year round-up for solar energy in Ireland. This event will feature a distinguished Regulators and Advisors panel, offering insights into the progress, challenges, and future opportunities within the solar energy sector.

Featured Panellists 

  • Aebhín Cawley, founder and CEO of Scott Cawley Ltd a leading ecological consultancy advising organisations on how to protect and restore biodiversity. Scott Cawley provide expert but practical and hands on advice including undertaking surveys for habitats and species, preparing biodiversity management and action plans, undertaking biodiversity net gain assessments, and implementing habitat creation and restoration plans. Aebhín is an experienced ecologist, and practicing in Ireland for over 20 years, has been influential in the evolution of ecological survey and impact assessment practices in Ireland, through capacity-building work, including training at a central and local government level and preparing guidelines.
  • Dawn Keegan, environmental and sustainability specialist in the renewable energy sector, with a BA in Environmental Science from University College Dublin. She has extensive experience in both private and public sectors, working with land developers and national gas and water utilities. She has transitioned seamlessly into the renewables sector. Dawn currently serves as the environmental specialist at Power Capital and is one of the driving forces in establishing Women in Solar Energy (WISE(IR)), an organisation focused on focused on networking and leveraging opportunities for women in the solar industry.
  • Gavin Blake, Partner, Head of Energy & Infrastructure; Addleshaw Goddard Ireland. Gavin has over 16 years' experience advising clients in the energy sector in Ireland, in particular in relation to renewable energy projects and including projects in the fields of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind, bioenergy/AD, CHP, energy storage, grid support services and demand side management. Gavin works with developers, funders and investors from the preliminary site acquisition and consenting phase through to project finance and construction. In addition, he has acted in the purchase and sale of multiple gigawatts of both development stage and operational stage energy assets.
  • Gillian Baker, SEAI Programme Manager for the Community Enabling Framework, which includes the provision of technical and financial supports to grid scale community generation projects as well as the Community Benefit Fund National Register. She is also an Advisory Council member of ESB Network's National Network, Local Connections Programme and a panel member of the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU)'s Networks Stakeholder Engagement Evaluation Panel. 
  • Lucie Murphy, Associate Director on the KPMG Corporate Finance LLC team based in Dublin. Lucie has over 7 years corporate finance experience and specialises in M&A and valuations in the renewable energy sector across a range of technologies including solar, onshore wind and offshore wind.
